Steiner in MotoGP Scandal

During the Hungarian Grand Prix weekend, media reports surfaced suggesting that former Haas team principal Gunther Steiner had assumed control of a MotoGP team. According to these claims, Steiner,in collaboration with the American investment group Apex, had allegedly acquired the Red Bull KTM Tech3 outfit in a deal worth $23 million.

While Steiner has yet to respond publicly, Tech3’s current owner, Herve Poncharal, has firmly denied the reports. He emphasized that the speculation surrounding the team’s sale is unfounded.

Herve Poncharal addressed the rumors with the following statement: "This is pure fiction. While it is true that discussions are ongoing, no agreements have been signed. I’ve never concealed the fact that we are open to exploring a potential sale, but I find the spread of unfounded rumors and speculation incredibly frustrating. At this stage, there are no concrete developments to share, and I prefer not to comment further until that changes."
