Formula 1 Confirms No Pre-Season Launch Event for Next Year

Formula 1 management has announced that there will be no official pre-season launch event ahead of the next season.

As RaceBrief.com recalls, a grand event was held this February to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Formula 1. All ten teams participating in the championship unveiled their cars in front of fans during the ceremony. The event generated massive interest, with tickets selling out almost immediately. It attracted a total viewership of 7.5 million people worldwide.

The primary reason for skipping next year’s launch is the upcoming 2026 technical regulations. All teams will begin that season with entirely new cars and power units. As a result, extended three-day pre-season testing is being planned for both Barcelona and Bahrain.

This means teams will have more testing days next year compared to the current season. However, similar launch events may return in future seasons.
