Vasseur Predicts Hamilton’s Podium Comeback in 2025
After sixteen races of the 2025 season, Lewis Hamilton has yet to reach the podium a rare occurrence in the career of the seven-time world champion.Hamilton has never before finished a season without a top-three finish, making his current streak a topic of discussion among Formula 1 fans and experts.
Ferrari team principal Frédéric Vasseur is confident that Hamilton will return to the top three before the season ends. “In Zandvoort, Lewis fought hard with George Russell, and in Monza, starting from tenth, he finished just behind him. All of this shows that a podium is definitely within his reach,” Vasseur noted.
He added that even in Zandvoort,Hamilton’s pace was noticeably stronger than that of championship leader Charles Leclerc, and his battle with Russell until lap thirty demonstrated his potential. The support of the tifosi in Milan gave him an extra boost of energy for the whole weekend. “I don’t know what he expected from meeting the fans, but it was amazing and clearly inspired Lewis,” Vasseur emphasized.
Despite a penalty in Monza, Hamilton showed impressive speed from the very first laps of the opening practice, confirming his readiness to fight for top positions in the upcoming races.
