Vasseur’s Role in Question
There is expected to be a leadership change within Ferrari, which competes in the Formula 1 World Championship. This information was reported by the reputable Italian publication Corriere dello Sport.
According to the report, current team principal Frédéric Vasseur will take on more of a supervisory role. If these claims are confirmed, Ferrari’s internal structure will resemble that of McLaren. At the British team, CEO Zak Brown oversees not only Formula 1 but also multiple motorsport projects, while Andrea Stella is responsible for direct team management.
At present, Ferrari operates under a system in which Frédéric Vasseur reports directly to CEO Benedetto Vigna and Chairman John Elkann.
It is claimed that Elkann intends to establish a more direct link between Vasseur and Vigna. At this stage, having a liaison figure between the Formula 1 team and Ferrari’s executive leadership is seen as a crucial step. However, the identity of the person who will assume this new coordinating role remains unknown.
