Verstappen Claims 67th Career Win
Max Verstappen secured a commanding victory in Azerbaijan, claiming the 67th win of his career and demonstrating a high level of skill and consistency throughout the entire weekend.
Verstappen noted that the weekend went perfectly for the team: the car performed flawlessly on both tire compounds, and the opportunity to run on a clear track allowed them to manage tire wear effectively and maintain a consistent pace. Despite strong winds, which constantly affected the car’s behavior and made driving more challenging, the chosen one-stop strategy worked exceptionally well, enabling the team to maximize the car’s potential and minimize risks.
The Red Bull driver added that he was pleased with the result but emphasized that challenging races lie ahead, requiring adaptation to different tracks and conditions. The Singapore Grand Prix, in particular, will be demanding, as the high downforce and unique nature of the street circuit will require both the team and the driver to maintain maximum focus and execute precise work in every sector. Nevertheless, Verstappen is confident that the team will put in their utmost effort to maintain a high level of performance and compete for victories in all remaining races of the season.
