Verstappen Impresses in First Drive on the Green Hell
Yesterday, Max Verstappen made his debut on the Nürburgring Nordschleife, competing in a four-hour race at the wheel of a Porsche Cayman GT4.By the end of the weekend, he obtained a German license granting him eligibility to participate in the NLS series.
Despite his status as a four-time World Champion, the regulations apply equally to all drivers: Verstappen completed the mandatory theoretical training and took to the track under the guidance of instructor Andreas Gülden. The latter praised Verstappen’s driving skills and noted that working with him was not only valuable but also highly enjoyable.
Verstappen is now eligible to compete in the more powerful GT3 class. The next race will take place on September 27, between the Formula 1 Grands Prix in Baku and Singapore, and it is quite possible that he will line up on the grid in a Ferrari 296 GT3.
