Verstappen Not Leaving Red Bull in 2026
Max Verstappen has confirmed that he will continue racing for Red Bull Racing in the 2026 season
The reigning World Champion made the announcement during a press conference in Hungary on Thursday, putting an end to ongoing speculation regarding his future.
Verstappen stated: "Throughout the entire season, there have been numerous rumors circulating about me. However, the one person who could have clarified the situation — myself — deliberately chose to remain silent. I saw no reason to engage in those discussions. Some people enjoy fueling the fire, while others tend to exaggerate and create drama. For me, everything has been clear from the very beginning. I am already in discussions with the team about our plans and the changes we want to implement for 2026. That alone indicates that I am staying. I felt it was time to put an end to all the speculation, as I have never had any doubts about remaining with the team."
When asked whether he anticipates a fresh wave of rumors about his potential departure from Red Bull next year, Verstappen responded: "We’ll see. If I am being asked the same question again next year, then clearly the rumors will have returned. I prefer not to engage in these kinds of discussions, as my focus is on improving the performance of the car and pushing the team forward. That is why I do not comment on the specific terms of my contract."
