Vintage Meets Modern at London Car Festival
London hosted the spectacular St James’s Motoring Spectacle, which drew hundreds of visitors and automotive enthusiasts to Pall Mall. In front of the Royal Automobile Club (RAC) building, around 150 vehicles were displayed from early 20th-century classics to modern electric cars and concept models.
Held for the second consecutive year, the event served as a prelude to the RM Sotheby’s auction and the traditional London to Brighton Veteran Car Run, with many of the exhibited vehicles taking part in the 100-kilometre journey the following day.
To mark the 75th anniversary of Formula 1, the exhibition featured Ferrari and Williams racing cars, while actor Rowan Atkinson, known for his role as Mr. Bean, appeared as a special guest, arriving in a unique 1893 Salvesen steam car the only operational example in existence. Visitors also had the chance to take photos with Lando Norris’s trophy, awarded for his victory at this year’s British Grand Prix.
