Wharton Steps Up to Formula 2 in Qatar

James Wharton will make his Formula 2 debut at the Qatar round, joining the Trident team. The Australian completed his first season in Formula 3 in 18th place and secured one victory.

“I am extremely grateful to Trident Motorsport for the opportunity to test myself in Formula 2. This is an important step forward and a significant challenge: more powerful machinery, longer races, higher tyre degradation, and pit-stop procedures. I will need to adapt quickly and make the most of this chance. Although I do not plan to compete in Formula 2 next year, this experience will help me grow and achieve a strong result,” Wharton stated.
